Faculty Profiles and Other Faculty Peformance Reports
Faculty Profiles
Faculty profiles are created each year by Finance and Planning and are used for the Vice-Chancellor’s Strategy and Performance Review (SPR) and other planning purposes.
These profiles comprise mainly University of Melbourne data and compare faculty data with the University averages. These profiles contain three years of trend data and cover teaching and learning, research, financial, staff, space indicators and performance against targets.
Faculty profile notes explaining data sources and definitions of the performance indicators are provided. Users of the profiles should familiarise themselves with these notes before placing reliance on the profiling data. Queries should be directed to Sue Sleep, University Planning, Evaluation and Quality, Finance and Planning Group.

Other Faculty Performance Reports
In addition to the Faculty profiles there are two other faculty reports that highlight performance.- Key Points and Exception Report: This report highlights key aspects of Faculty performance as shown in the Faculty profile.
- Performance Outcomes for departments and faculties benchmarked against GO8 comparators: This report compares faculty and department performance against GO8 comparators using national data sets for research and learning and teaching indicators (where available).
To access these profiles, you will need a password provided by your Faculty General Manager or Head of Department.
