Research Summary Data
Research performance data
Research performance is reported in terms of research income, publications, Research Higher Degrees (RHD) completions and RHD load (EFSTL). These are the key national research indicators, and are used as key drivers by the Commonwealth Government in the allocation of research block grant funding.
Research income and publication data is reported to the Commonwealth Government as part of the Higher Education Research Data Collection. View specifications for the data collection.
Research student load and completions data are reported as part of the student data collection.
Income and publications (HERDC)
Research income and publication data for The University of Melbourne is managed by the Melbourne Research Office.
Group of Eight Research Benchmarking reports are also available from the Melbourne Research Office at the above link.
Generally, research data collections lag behind other datasets, as data is collected and submitted in the following year. For further information about research income and publications data, please contact Shane Wood.
Research Higher Degree students
Research student load and completions data can be sourced from the Finance and Planning student data section.
