Business Projects Group
The Business Projects Group provides support for University business projects at the faculty and corporate level. The team is responsible for delivering a defined program of project-based work founded on agreements with existing clients. The BPG complements the mainstream work of the University Planning Office to support University business planning.
To date the BPG has worked on projects that include:
- the development of faculty business projects, such as business cases for courses, faculty facilities and business units;
- analysis, advice and reporting that informs faculty projects, including the development of faculty business plans, budgets, workforce planning and competitor analysis; and
- corporate project support, such as the development of commercial assessments, business cases and submissions to Government.
In the typical development process of corporate projects, the BPG’s role is focussed on financial, commercial and operational analysis and the development of recommendations, business cases and submissions. Responsibility for the implementation of projects that are funded and approved for implementation generally lies with the client and the University's management and governance processes. BPG resources may be used in the implementation planning phase as negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

The Group is comprised of a number of senior consultancy roles, including a Director, Senior Project Manager, two Senior Business Analysts, one Project Officer and fractional administrative assistance. The Group's Director reports to the Deputy Principal (University Planning). A list of the Group's staff can be found on the UPO staff contacts page.
