Subject Coding Policy
To facilitate the coding practices of courses and subjects in the Student System the following policy document has been approved by PBC. For DEEWR (DEST) reporting Courses and Subjects require Fields of Education and Disciplines Codes, respectively. The “ASCED Coding Document” provides the disciplines codes to be used to describe courses and subjects in the Student System. This document is also a useful resource in the allocation of codes when submitting courses and subjects for approval.
